Carlie Mears began her love for dance at a young age. She grew up dancing at Larkin Dance Studio in Maplewood, Minnesota beginning at the age of four. Through hard work and dedication she graduated from the Larkin Senior Line. By the time she graduated high school she trained in different styles including lyrical, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and ballet.
After graduation Carlie brought her love of dance to college. She will be starting her fourth season as a member of the University of Minnesota Dance Team this upcoming fall. Through this program she has been able to develop lifelong skills as well as having the honor of winning four national championships. Carlie is majoring in Strategic Communication with the hopes of pursuing a career in advertising.
Over the years Carlie has had the opportunity to work with dancers from different studios and high schools around Minnesota. Through Innovate Dance she hopes to inspire and share her love of dance with others who also have a strong passion for dance.
